Chaudhry’s early life unfolded in Panoh village of Himachal Pradesh, characterized by numerous challenges. He was born into a farmer’s family devoid of essential amenities, prompting him to study beneath a tree. His commitment led him to walk 4 kilometers each day to reach the school in the nearby village known as Dhusara.

After excelling academically, Chaudhry attained a degree in electronics from IIT Varanasi (currently referred to as IIT-BHU). He emigrated to the United States in 1980, where he obtained a master’s degree from the University of Cincinnati and later completed an executive program at Harvard Business School.

Chaudhry’s path as an entrepreneur commenced in 1996 when he and his spouse Jyoti invested their savings into SecureIT, a company focused on internet security. Following this acquisition, he established several additional successful enterprises such as AirDefense and Cipher Trust.
