Grimes Breaks Silence on Elon Musk’s Gaming Controversy: A Deep Dive into Cheating Claims

Elon Musk is an impressive gamer. This much is evident. But does that mean he ranks among the elite in the world? Recently, this has been questioned.

Musk found himself accused of dishonesty while playing the action role-playing gamePath of Exile 2, after he reacted to allegations that someone was gaming on his behalf on his social media platform X / Twitter.

Musk started to brag about his status as a top gamer following his appearance on Joe Rogan’s podcast in November, asserting that he was among the top 20 Diablo 4 players globally.

He would later assert he had risen to the summit of the unofficial leaderboard, and by a considerable margin.

Nevertheless, doubts emerged – after all, how could he find the time to play so extensively while vocally supporting Donald Trump during the 2024 US election campaign?

He subsequently started streaming early access gameplay of Path of Exile 2, the forthcoming sequel to the successful 2013 installment. However, viewers soon began to question whether it was indeed him playing, as significant gaps in his knowledge surfaced, which appeared inconsistent with his account’s level of 97, reports Dexerto.

Streamer Asmongold was subsequently compelled to respond to Musk, who was having a meltdown on X / Twitter after he shared private messages, stating that the well-known YouTuber is “not skilled at video games” – this happened after the popular streamer questioned whether Musk had someone else leveling up and playing for him on Path of Exile 2.

This has become one of the most significant discussion points in the gaming community currently, and Grimes has stepped up to defend Musk – at least regarding his abilities in Diablo 4.

Grimes, who is Musk’s former spouse and the mother of three of his offspring, remarked: “To preserve my personal pride, I would like to declare that the father of my children was the first American druid in Diablo to conquer Abattoir of Zir and concluded that season as the best in the USA.

“He also held a ranking in Polytopia, defeating Felix himself at the game. I witnessed all of this firsthand, and there are other witnesses who can confirm it. That is all.”

Musk replied to her comments with a simple “thanks.”

In contrast, regarding artificial intelligence firms training their models, Musk indicates they have depleted their data sources and “exhausted” the entirety of human knowledge.

Consequently, the billionaire entrepreneur – who is also the proprietor of AI firm xAI – asserts that given the rapid development of technology, he believes “synthetic” data will be necessary to construct and train the new systems.
