A woman from BOURNEMOUTH, who finds inspiration in the local landscape, is unveiling her photography book that highlights the stunning Dorset scenery.

Emma Spicer is marking the launch of her inaugural photography book titled Serenity.

She has blended her affection for sunsets and beaches with her enthusiasm for photography to produce her new publication.

The book consists of 42 pages, each picture accompanied by its unique story.

(Image: Emma’s Photography Book, Serenity) Emma shared: “I have always been passionate about photography, and it has evolved from there, really.

“The hues of sunsets and sunrises captivate me.

“It’s simply delightful to observe, and it transports you to places you’ve never quite been before. Those colors are just incredible to experience.

“It’s a truly beautiful corner of the earth.”

Emma began her photography journey during her school years, where she acquired techniques under the tutelage of her photography instructor.

For 15 years, she has resided near the coast, where she and her family spend numerous days strolling along Sandbanks beach, savoring the natural beauty and capturing it through her camera.

Emma stated: “Shell Bay is an incredibly stunning spot close to Sandbanks and it’s my favorite.

“I adore sunsets and sunrises in that area. The open space offers incredible views of the landscape.”

She describes photography as a way to freeze a moment through her lens that she will never relive.

She expressed: “It’s just, wow, it’s remarkable.

“Capturing that image in the moment is one of the most peculiar experiences I’ve ever had.

“I feel immense joy behind the camera, realizing how extraordinary the world is around us, with all its varied natural hues and the interactions of people.”

She added: “Photography is something that seizes people’s attention, emotions, and memories, as they are preserved when a photograph is taken.

“You will always have that.”

The book features local images of beaches and landscapes around Bournemouth, and it officially launched on January 3.

It is available for purchase online on Blurb and will soon be accessible on Amazon.
