CHESTER, Pa. – The Arcadia University men’s swimming squad was defeated by Middle Atlantic Conference rival Widener University 81-180 on Saturday morning.
The Knights achieved 10 best times for the season and two personal records in today’s competition.

HOW IT OCCURRED
– The 200-yard medley relay team consisting of Matthew Drake, George Wade, Owen Foley, and Tyler Mui secured second place with a time of 1:39.10.
– George Mitev was the first to touch the wall in the 1000-yard freestyle with a season-best time of 10:39.76.
– Adam Smith achieved a seasonal best in the 1000 by improving his time by 23.75 seconds, finishing in 10:53.07.
– Drake took first in the 100-yard backstroke (54.34) and in the 200-yard backstroke (2:00.62).
– Michael Sanchez registered a personal record in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 1:01.15 and also excelled in the 200-yard backstroke (2:13.50).
– Wade produced a seasonal best in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:00.34) and in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:14.81), finishing second in both races.
– Mikalai Yakhimchyk improved by .44 from his last 100-yard breaststroke time, setting a new seasonal best of 1:09.90.
– Foley clocked a seasonal best of 2:04.89 in the 200-yard butterfly, cutting 7.71 seconds from his previous best this season. He also marked a seasonal best in the 100-yard butterfly (56.07).
– Braeden Wolf (5:08.73), Johnny Pierce (5:33.72), and Zachary Horner (5:50.36) each achieved seasonal best times in the 500-yard freestyle.
