– The Union College women’s swimming and diving squad recognized the seven individuals of the senior class during their last home competition of the season. Union suffered a 187-47 loss to #19 Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute on Sunday afternoon at Alumni Gym Pool.

Before the event commenced, the Garnet Chargers acknowledged the seven individuals from the class of 2025: Gabi Acosta, Maya Gerber, Ally Gowern, Meghan Seidberg, Aurelie Truquet, Kristina Valenti, and Molly Miller.

In her final home competition, Truquet excelled on the diving boards. The senior diver achieved a personal best in the 1-meter diving by 30.45 points, securing second place. Truquet also clinched second in the 3-meter diving, recording a new personal best for the second consecutive week with 223.50 points.

Senior Ally Gowern earned third in the 400 IM, finishing with a time of 5:07.16.

Valenti posted a personal best in the 200 free, clocking in at 2:04.42 to secure fourth place. Valenti and Miller finished two-three in the 100 breast, with times of 1:11.76 and 1:12.60, respectively.

Sophomore Chloe Matthews placed third in the 100 fly with a time of 1:02.85 and also achieved a fourth-place finish in the 50 free with a time of 26.43.

Sophomore Jess Konsky registered a new season-best time in the 100 free, finishing in 57.32 for second place.

The 200 free relay finished with a time of 1:46.22, placing second. The Union squad consisted of sophomore Grace Furtado, Matthews, junior Alison Silver, and Valenti.

Union will conclude the regular season on Friday at Vassar College, with the first event set to begin at 6:00 p.m. at Kresge Pool.
