ABOUT THE HOOPLA

The Gaming Hoopla is a gaming convention that serves as a fundraiser for charities related to cancer. This year, the Gaming Hoopla is delighted to once again collaborate with Aurora Cancer Care! To learn more about the Hoopla and our motivations, click HERE.

The Gaming Hoopla features tabletop board gaming, miniatures, RPGs, giant board games, competitions, free game rentals from the Gaming Hoopla games library, the Best Raffle Ever, a silent auction, a game store exhibitor, and much more!

With hundreds of planned events, alongside open gaming zones and a well-curated games library, the Gaming Hoopla is a perfect setting for board game enthusiasts to enjoy playing with friends and family or to connect with new gaming companions!

Hyatt Regency Milwaukee Downtown

The Hyatt Regency Milwaukee is situated at 333 West Kilbourn Avenue, Milwaukee, WI 53203. The Hyatt provides an on-site bar, restaurant, and a Starbucks conveniently located off the lobby. Additionally, the Hyatt is merely minutes away from various dining establishments and attractions like the Milwaukee Brat House, Milwaukee Public Market, Harley Davidson Museum, and Milwaukee Art Museum, among others.

The hotel is offering a reduced room rate for Hoopla participants, but reservations must be made by April 10th!

Masks OPTIONAL
After thorough consideration for the well-being of our attendees and the public, we have decided that Covid vaccination and masking will not be mandatory for attending the 2025 Gaming Hoopla. However, masks remain optional at your discretion.

We expect our rules of respect to be upheld, which means a zero-tolerance policy regarding harassment for either wearing (or not wearing) a mask. If you have any concerns about harassment, please communicate with a staff member present.

The Gaming Hoopla staff continues to strongly recommend that attendees adhere to current CDC guidelines regarding vaccination and booster shots of the COVID vaccine.
