Fencing Triumphs at Philadelphia Invite with an Impressive Eight Victories!

PHILADELPHIA – The University of Pennsylvania fencing teams, which are nationally ranked, concluded the Philadelphia Invitational at the Tse Center on Sunday afternoon.
 
Penn had an outstanding performance on the final day, with both the men and women securing four victories each, resulting in a total of 16 wins in the tournament.
 
The #7 men’s team had a strong performance in University City, overcoming Haverford (23-4), NJIT (20-7), Lafayette (22-5), and Wagner (18-9) to achieve their victories on the last day of events. The Red and Blue concluded the Philadelphia Invite with a total of nine wins, raising their season record to 15-3.
 
The #7 women’s team also demonstrated their prowess today, narrowly defeating Haverford (23-4), NJIT (26-1), FDU (21-6), and Wagner (15-12) to finish the tournament with seven wins, improving their record to 13-6 for the year.

Next weekend, the Quakers will travel to University Park for the Penn State Invite on Sunday, Jan. 26.
