Since birth, my legs haven’t operated like those of most, and I utilize a wheelchair.

As a wheelchair user with mobility issues, I have encountered a multitude of insults and remarks directed at my disability.

Nonetheless, I have generally been fortunate to meet an incredible circle of friends who genuinely care for and back me up.

The issue arises from one individual.

Tragically, during my penultimate year of high school, I had to confront an awful mathematics teacher who would regularly make hurtful comments about my disability, presenting a new “joke” almost every week.

I couldn’t enter the classroom without being greeted by lines like: “Whoa, hit the brakes. Class is starting!” or “It’s lunch hour, be sure to fill up the tank!” or even the derogatory nicknames such as “hot rod” or … “rims.”

I’m fed up with this nonsense.

Now, we’ve entered a new year, and after our final year meeting, lo and behold, he greets me with yet another pathetic joke.

Thus, he retaliates.

At this juncture, I allowed my feelings to overwhelm me, and I began shouting personal insults towards him regarding his divorce.

I must confess, I uttered some truly awful statements, implying that it was his doing and that it had likely been a long time coming.

He instantly yelled back at me and then expelled me from the meeting; subsequently, my mother and F received a phone call, berating me for my behavior.

His remarks and the entire incident have added significant stress to my life, atop my existing worries about weight.

I’ve been dreading another year at this ridiculous school only to be taught by this dreadful individual once again.

Now I fear the insults will only escalate following my recent actions.

I just cannot handle this. AITA?

Haha!

I fail to understand why people behave like this.

Documentation is essential.

It’s quite common sense.

Why are they treating it like it’s trivial, yet what the child did is catastrophic?

Disability prejudice is unacceptable.

It will inevitably become tiresome after some period.
