Ben Anderson Crowned SAA Men’s Swimming Star of the Week!

CANTON, Ga. – Millsaps men’s swimming and diving junior Ben Anderson delivered an impressive performance at Centenary College over the weekend and received the Southern Athletic Association Men’s Swimming Athlete of the Week accolade from league coaches, as announced by the league office on Monday.

During a Friday dual meet, Anderson secured first place in both the 50-yard freestyle (22.76 seconds) and 100-yard freestyle (50.05). He placed second in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:07.37) and contributed to the 200-yard medley relay that finished in the runner-up position (1:49.28).

Previously, Anderson had earned the same recognition earlier this season on Oct. 14 and also on three occasions in the previous season.

The Millsaps men’s and women’s teams will next wrap up their season at the 2025 SAA Swimming and Diving Championships, scheduled for Feb. 12-15. Centre College will host this event in Danville, Ky.
