LOCK HAVEN, Pa. — The Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference unveiled the latest selection of Men’s and Women’s Swimming Athletes for Week 10 in the 2024-25 season. From Edinboro, Eliza Miller was honored as the Women’s Swimming Athlete of the Week and from Clarion, Dominic Cortopassi was recognized as the Men’s Swimming Athlete of the Week.

Eliza Miller made a significant impression in her Edinboro debut on Saturday, achieving three first-place finishes. In the 200-freestyle, she recorded a time of 1:53.17, finishing over four seconds ahead of Clarion’s Joslyn Jurski. She also claimed the top position in the 100-freestyle with a time of 53.03. Furthermore, Miller secured first in the 500-freestyle with a time of 5:11.01.

Dominic Cortopassi triumphed in two individual events and contributed to a victorious relay on Friday, leading the Golden Eagles to a 113.5-64.5 win over Edinboro at the PennWest Duals. He commenced the competition by participating in a victory in the 200 Medley Relay, teaming up with Mason Peck, Gavin Guckavan, and Austin Prokopec for a time of 1:34.32, which was over two seconds quicker than the Fighting Scots’ team. Subsequently, Cortopassi dominated the 200 Free, surpassing the rest of the competitors by more than five seconds with a time of 1:42.02, and later he clinched the 100 Breast with a time of 57.31.
