Fubio and Miller Dive into Glory as MEC Swimmers of the Week!

BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. – The Mountain East Conference has revealed the recipients of this week’s Male and Female Swimmers of the Week accolades. The MEC Player of the Week honors are sponsored by The Health Plan.
 
Patrick Fubio from Fairmont State received the MEC Male Swimmer of the Week title while Wheeling’s Jade Miller claimed the MEC Female Swimmer of the Week distinction.
 
Fubio played a crucial role in the Falcons’ 131-123 triumph over Wheeling. The senior hailing from Clarksburg, W.Va. achieved victories in the 200 Free (1:48.83) and 200 Back (1:56.84) alongside a second-place finish in the 100 Fly (52.32). He also assisted the winning 200 Medley Relay team with a 23.27 split in the 50 Fly.
 
A senior from Washington, Pa., Miller celebrated Senior Day with an outstanding performance for the Cardinals. She attained individual victories in the 200 Back (2:20.23), 200 Breast (2:35.48), and 400 Individual Medley (5:04.18) while also participating in Wheeling’s victorious 200 Medley Relay team.
