Ursuline coach discusses standout performers from the 2024 swimming state meet victory
Ursuline has secured four of the last nine girls swimming state titles.
The concluding events of the DIAA Girls Swimming and Diving Championships are scheduled for Feb. 22 at the University of Delaware’s Rawstrom Natatorium.
However, the effort to get to this point began long ago, and the determination to reach the pinnacle in each race will only escalate as the significant day approaches.
We are preparing you by highlighting 97 competitors to monitor in Delaware high school girls swimming during this season. Each of them made it to that final day last year, and the majority have likely made advancements since then.
Eight first-team All-State athletes are returning – Conrad’s Alyssa Napier, Sussex Academy’s Anna Mumford, Charter of Wilmington’s Allie Phillips, Ursuline’s Eliza Johnson and Mia Devlin, Saint Mark’s Rowan O’Donoghue, Padua’s Logan Bagley, and Newark Charter diver Madelyn Hiller.
They are anticipated to be among the leading competitors once again, and new participants will undoubtedly rise to contest them as Ursuline aims for its third consecutive team title.
