In the 3v3 strategic shooter Spectre Divide, gamers utilize a mechanism that allows them to switch control between two characters during matches. Scheduled for release on consoles (PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S) next month (February 2025), the game is developed by Mountaintop Studios in partnership with Michael “shroud” Grzesiek, a highly successful streamer and gaming content producer.
The first substantial seasonal content update – named Flashpoint – brings several major enhancements, including a sprint feature, a new map, and a new sponsor (loadout).
Spectre Divide was released on PC in September 2024, receiving a mix of reviews on Steam. The forthcoming seasonal update aims to improve the Duality system, the game’s trademark body-switching feature, to offer a more dynamic gaming experience. This system already enables players to defend multiple locations, aid teammates, and change positions for tactical benefits. The fundamental gameplay revolves around teams striving to control and protect vital map areas, requiring meticulous coordination to outwit opponents.
Enhancements to game health and overall experience include:

- Existing maps revised to eliminate various 50-50s and hidden spots.
- Refined and enhanced basic facial models.

- More responsive and faster combat and movement.

- Observer Mode has been introduced.
