BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The Cincinnati women’s tennis squad suffered a defeat against Indiana, concluding at 6-1 in their first away contest of the season, held at the IU Tennis Center on Sunday afternoon.

Graduate student Zeynep Erman secured the only victory for the Bearcats on court No. 1, overcoming Nicole Teodosescu in a three-set struggle, 6-2, 4-6, 6-2.

 

Indiana triumphed in the remaining five singles encounters.

 

Bearcats sophomore Gabrielle Guenther exhibited a commendable effort against Lara Schneider, winning the first set but ultimately falling in a tightly contested match, 6-4, 4-6, 0-1 (6) on court three.
