SWIMMERS RETUN HOME WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON
On Wednesday evening, West Chester is set to return to Graham Natatorium for an in-season swim meet against the University of Pennsylvania. The Golden Rams aim to deliver a robust performance against the Quakers, who have recently participated in an Ivy-league tri-meet at Yale, where they finished second out of three teams.

West Chester comes off a strong showing against the University of Delaware prior to the holiday break. They seek to build upon their previous performance versus the Blue Hens and, following a lengthy hiatus and time spent in the pool, intend to swim towards a victory.

THE MEN – LAST PERFORMANCE

West Chester swimmers had a strong showing in their latest competition, achieving impressive swims and personal records. Paul Demesy (Saint Ulrich, France) secured victories in the 1000 and 500 freestyle with times of 9:32.00 and 4:38.41 respectively. In the 200-medley relay, the team comprising Dalton Fink (Pottstown, Pa./Owen J. Roberts), Nolan Benner (Green Lane, Pa./Boyertown), Brey Wright (Georgetown, Del./Sussex Central), and Joel Dunnigan (York, Pa./Dallastown) finished in one minute and 32.44 seconds, achieving second place in a competitive event against Division I rivals. Dalton Fink (Pottstown, Pa./Owen J. Roberts) claimed second place in the 100 backstroke with a time of 50.75, securing yet another top-two finish for the Golden Rams. Capturing the spotlight with a win in the premier event, the 400 free relay team of Dunnigan, Nagy, Metzger, and Benner finished in 3:03.41 seconds. For the divers, Boden Burkhart (Walnutport, Pa./Northampton) and Tyler Czeiner (Douglassville, Pa./Daniel Boone) took third and fourth place off the one-meter board with scores of 248.40 and 244.65, respectively. They also finished third and fourth from the three-meter board with scores of 260.40 and 258.00, respectively.
