About NCAA Division II
The NCAA serves as the national overseeing body for college athletics and is a voluntary assembly of over 1,000 colleges and universities that categorize their athletic programs into one of three membership divisions. The over 300 institutions in NCAA Division II endorse a balanced model where student-athletes can receive scholarships based on their athletic talents, pursue their chosen academic qualifications, and engage in all that the campus and surrounding community provide. Student-athletes in Division II graduate at rates surpassing their peers within the student body, enjoying the most favorable championships-participant ratio across the NCAA’s three divisions.
