Utah Royals FC Unveils Exciting 2025 Game Lineup!

HERRIMAN, Utah (Wednesday, January 22, 2025) – In collaboration with the National Women’s Soccer League, Utah Royals FC today disclosed its 2025 NWSL schedule, consisting of 26 total regular-season matches (13 at home, 13 away). URFC begins this year’s journey by welcoming fellow 2024 expansion team Bay FC for the season opener on Sat., March 15 at America First Field (tickets can be purchased at www.UtahRoyalsFC.com), a match that will also be nationally broadcast via ION (Ch. 16 in Utah via antenna / channel 648 / 1016 on Xfinity). Head Coach Jimmy Coenraets’ squad will conclude the second year of its “Return of Royalty” on Sun., November 2, hosting the Washington Spirit in its Sandy-based venue.

Beginning the travel aspect of the 2025 season, the Royals will travel on Sat., March 22, heading to San Diego to compete against the Wave and then traveling to the midwest during the weekend of Sat., March 29 to compete against Kansas City Current at CPKC Stadium, the location of the 2025 NWSL championship. Utah subsequently returns home to participate in three of its next four matches on home turf between Fri., April 11 against Portland (viewable on Amazon Prime Video) and Sat., May 3 against North Carolina Courage. Unlike last year, Utah Royals FC will face each competing team before the CBA-mandated hiatus following the team’s home match against Seattle Reign FC on Sat., June 21.

The Royals will have two bye weekends in the initial half of the season, with no matches scheduled for the weekends of April 3 and May 31.

During the CBA-mandated midseason interval from late June to early August, NWSL clubs will have the opportunity to engage in matches against other professional women’s teams, including international rivals, ensuring ongoing competition for all NWSL athletes. Additional details will be provided at a later time.

After the break for the Copa América Femenina and UEFA Women’s Euro, Royals FC commences its second half of the season against Orlando Pride at Inter&Co Stadium on Sat., August 3, before embarking on a two-game home stretch at America First Field. Utah will then embark on a three-game away stretch, traversing the country not once but twice, first heading east to Gotham FC on Sat., August 23, then heading west to Providence Park to take on Portland Thorns on Fri., August 29, concluding the extended road journey back on the east coast in North Carolina on Sat., September 6.

Following the lengthy away journey, Utah Royals FC wraps up the 2025 season with four of its final seven matches at home, concluding the regular season on Sun., November 2 against Washington Spirit.

Utah will have a total of nine matches that will be nationally aired on ION and Amazon Prime Video, though they are not scheduled to be shown on CBS or ESPN, although there remains a possibility for a Nov. 2 nationally-televised event. The rest of the 2025 URFC schedule will be broadcast locally on the longtime partner KMYU (2.2 over air / 12 satellite / 643 Comcast HD) totaling 16 matches that will be accessible for free in 100% of households across the Utah DMA.
