Greenfield Recorder – Two swimmers taken by ambulance from Conway Swimming Pool

CONWAY — Two swimmers had been rushed to the hospital, one with critical accidents, after struggling to remain above water within the Conway Swimming Pool Tuesday night.

Conway Fire Chief Robert Baker stated his division was notified at 7:27 p.m. that two younger grownup swimmers had been reportedly drowning within the pool. Upon arrival, first responders discovered one feminine swimmer struggling, whereas a male swimmer had slipped beneath the water’s floor.

“We had to rely on our rescue divers to go down and get him off the bottom,” Baker stated. “They were able to get him up and out of the water.”

Baker stated the Northfield Dive Team was initially known as to reply, however was canceled after the Conway crew was efficiently capable of get each swimmers out of the water.

The male swimmer was taken by a Northampton ambulance for medical therapy, and the feminine swimmer, who was visibly acutely aware and sitting upright as she was being carried away from the Conway Swimming Pool, was taken by Conway Ambulance at round 8 p.m.
