‘Subnautica 2’ Writer Krafton Acquires Eleventh Hour Games

Amid a authorized battle with the builders of its upcoming title “Subnautica 2,” South Korean-based online game writer Krafton has introduced a deal to accumulate studio Eleventh Hour Games, the creators of “Last Epoch.”

Per a press launch issued by the businesses Friday, the deal is valued at $96 million.

Founded in 2018, launched motion role-playing online game (ARPG) “Last Epoch,” which has bought greater than three million copies worldwide since its 2024 debut.

Through this acquisition, Krafton says it “aims to secure a competitive franchise IP in the Action RPG genre and further strengthen its position in the global market.”

As a results of the deal, EHG will be capable of scale improvement on the “Last Epoch” franchise “across console platforms and expand seasonal content pipelines, setting the stage for long-term franchise development.”

Krafton says EHG will “retain full leadership and creative autonomy” whereas the writer “will support EHG’s live service roadmap, team expansion, and international publishing.”
