Women’s Swimming Wins Team Academic Achievement Award

Eastern Illinois ladies’s swimming has been awarded The Summit League Team Academic Achievement Award for 2024-25 because the league introduced its educational awards this week.

The Summit League awards Team Academic Achievement honors for every sport based mostly on the share of list-eligible student-athletes on the Commissioner’s List.  The Panthers are affiliate members of The Summit League in males’s and girls’s swimming.

EIU had 13 staff members earn Commissioner’s List of Academic Excellence honors with 4 members from the lads’s staff and 9 from the ladies’s staff.

EIU males’s honorees had been Conner Colston, Dismas Dillon, Andrew Herman *, Nolan Wallace * whereas the ladies’s alternatives included Genevieve Biberdorf *, Bella Earll, Kaitlyn Evans, Autumn Grinter, Emma Keith, Claire Malinowski *, Alexis Pierce, Corinne Staneart * and Olivia Viele.

Qualifications for Commissioner’s List of Academic Excellence
• In order for a student-athlete to be chosen to the Commissioner’s List of Academic Excellence, the student-athlete should carry a 3.50 or higher cumulative GPA, have used a yr of eligibility and accomplished three full semesters or 5 quarters on the nominating establishment.
• Student-athletes having a 3.9 or greater cumulative profession grade-point common are designated with an asterisk to point “with distinction.”

In addition, EIU had 22 swimmers earn Summit League Academic Honor Roll accolades within the classroom this educational yr.

Qualifications for Academic Honor Roll
