$12 million to additional assist Queensland’s Indigenous Land and Sea Rangers

Today on World Ranger Day, the Albanese Government is furthering its dedication to assist Indigenous Land and Sea Rangers to guard and handle the Great Barrier Reef with a $12.6 million funding.

The Government is increasing the Queensland Indigenous Land and Sea Rangers Program and boosting its means to ship actions that enhance water high quality and defend ecologically and culturally vital species on the Reef.

This may embrace actions similar to restoring necessary habitats and managing pests that pose a menace to the well being of the Reef.
