Senior singers be sure that to have enjoyable throughout live shows

ST. CLOUD — A gaggle of performing seniors makes certain to have enjoyable in between songs.

The St. Cloud Area Senior Fun Singers is a nonprofit group of 25 singers starting from 60 to 91 years outdated. They sing at numerous senior residing amenities within the space throughout their season, from September to May.

The jokes and skits are successful with audiences, stated Janet Wheeler, board treasurer for the Senior Fun Singers.

“The residents actually like these items that we do,” Wheeler said. “They get loads of laughs out of it.”

The group does roughly 30 to 35 live shows throughout their season. They primarily sing oldies music for his or her viewers, however usually they’ll change it up throughout their vacation packages round Christmas and the Fourth of July, Wheeler stated.

“Our hearts are moved when we see memory care residents able to remember the words to our well-known oldies,” Wheeler stated.

With the following season beginning on Sept. 1, the group is searching for a brand new director to guide rehearsals and performances.
