Festivalgoers take pleasure in meals, enjoyable at 2025 Fiesta Del Sol in Pilsen regardless of poor air high quality throughout Chicago space

CHICAGO (WLS) — Fiesta Del Sol continued Friday in Pilsen.

Friday was the primary day of August, and Chicagoans know it is just a few weeks earlier than summer season is over. Some took benefit of the day at Fiesta del Sol.

“I like the fact that we have choices,” festivalgoer Tonya Johnson. “All this delicious food to choose from I’m not sure what we are going to eat yet but we’ll see.”

Some childhood buddies attended Fiesta Del Sol Friday.

“I love the memories with it, because I used to, we used to come with like a lot of friends,” festivalgoer Marcela Chavez mentioned.

The annual four-day competition in Pilsen alongside Cermak will draw greater than 1,000,000 guests. While the temperatures could also be nice for the out of doors free competition, the air high quality just isn’t.

Jimmy Tello, the supervisor of Xurro, hopes folks can tolerate the situations to benefit from the weekend.

“I definitely think people should inform themselves,” Tello mentioned. “We encourage people to still come out, enjoy themselves, enjoy the Fiesta Del Sol.”

Maria Gaytan is a nurse with Alivio Medical Center. She urges folks with persistent respiratory points to heed warnings and restrict time exterior.
