VJ Day commemorations in Warwick District

On Sunday 10 August, a service can be held in St Margaret’s Church, Whitnash to commemorate the anniversary. On Monday 11 August, Whitnash Town Council can be elevating the Union flag and County flag to mark the event, with over 100 poppies being positioned on lampposts via the city.

On Friday 15 August at 9:30am, a particular commemorative flag can be raised on the Town Hall in Leamington by the Chairman of Warwick District Council, Councillor Naveen Tangri, with native mayors and representatives from the Royal British Legion.

Kenilworth Town Council and the Kenilworth Royal British Legion can be holding a brief service on the War Memorial, Abbey End at 11am, and all residents are welcome to hitch.
