Swimming: Avery Schueller, Carter Schiller compete in state championships – Park Rapids Enterprise

WEST FARGO, N.D. – Park Rapids’ Avery Schueller and Carter Schiller competed within the 2025 Minnesota Senior Long Course Meter State Swimming Championships on the Hulbert Aquatic Center on Aug. 2-3.

Schueller certified within the Girls 50 freestyle and Girls 100 freestyle whereas Schiller certified within the Boys 100 backstroke races. Swimmers both needed to meet a qualifying time or take first place or second place in a meet in the course of the summer time season. Both Park Rapids swimmers had been members of the Bemidji Area Super Swimmers workforce.

Schueller superior to the finals of the 50 freestyle throughout preliminaries on Aug. 2. Schueller completed twenty first out of 70 swimmers with a preliminary time of 28.26 as the highest 24 certified for the finals. The prime preliminary time was a 26.91. In the finals, Schueller clocked a 28.06 to complete twenty first because the successful time was a 26.53.

Schiller missed advancing to the finals of the 100 backstroke on Aug. 2 with a preliminary time of 1:09.26 to complete sixty fifth out of 69 swimmers. The prime preliminary time was a 58.26 whereas the winner clocked a 57.08 within the finals.

In the preliminaries of the 100 freestyle on Aug. 3, Schueller completed twenty seventh out of 53 swimmers with a 1:02.63. The prime preliminary time was a 59.63 whereas a 58.90 was the highest time within the finals.

Red Dragon Swimming of Moorhead hosted the state championships.
