KIRKWOOD, Mo.— “I strive for exceptional images of common critters rather than mediocre images of rare critters.”  That’s the tenet to which native wildlife photographer Danny Brown attributes his success. 

Brown will current Moments in Nature, a group and dialogue of his wildlife photos on Tuesday, Aug. 19 from 7 – 8:30 p.m. on the Missouri Department of Conservation’s (MDC) Powder Valley Nature Center.  The program is free and open to anybody age 8 years and up.

Brown is a photographer and author from Union specializing in Missouri wildlife.  In 2006, he started photographing wildlife that he encountered whereas searching.  By 2010 Brown had given up searching all collectively to make extra time for wildlife images.  Since then, he has printed over 50 photograph essays within the Missouri Conservationist journal, together with a number of cowl tales and options.

His photographs have been featured in magazines throughout the nation, together with Birds and Blooms, Birdwatching, Ducks Unlimited, Audubon, National Wildlife, and varied state conservation magazines and calendars.
