The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT), in coordination with Utah Transit Authority
(UTA), is working to attach Union Pacific Railroad’s (UPRR) Sharp Sub Mainline with UTA’s
Tintic Branch Line in Springville and Spanish Fork. This connection will enhance security and
mobility by eradicating the present Tintic Branch Line railroad observe and completely closing
seven at-grade railroad crossings alongside the present Tintic Line. The railroad crossings will
be closed by eradicating the observe in and adjoining to the highway. Vehicular entry will nonetheless be
