USMS Summer Nationals: 26 Data Damaged in Federal Way

The 2025 U.S. Masters Swimming (USMS) Summer National Championship happened on the Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatic Center on Aug. 6-10. There have been 1,105 swimmers from 5 international locations competing.

Federal Way hosted its fifth USMS pool nationwide championship, its first since 2007.

The oldest competitor was Frank Manheim at age 94. There have been 4 different swimmers who’re at the very least 90 and 29 others who’re of their 80s.

There have been 4 Olympians competing, together with native swimmer and Team USA’s Rick Colella (1976, 1 bronze medal). The different Olympians are Puerto Rico’s Francisco Canales (1976) and Team USA’s Kurt Grote (1996, 1 gold medal) and Dan Jorgensen (1988 and 1992, 1 gold and 1 bronze medal).
