U.S. Targets Cryptocurrency Trade, Providing Rewards Totaling As much as $6 Million

Today, the Departments of State and the Treasury are focusing on Garantex, a Russian-operated cryptocurrency alternate allegedly utilized by all kinds of cybercriminals and cybercrime organizations for cash laundering, and its community.

The Department of State’s Transnational Organized Crime Rewards Program (TOCRP) is providing two rewards totaling as much as $6 million for info resulting in the arrests and/or convictions of leaders of Garantex, together with as much as $5 million for Russian nationwide Aleksandr Mira Serda, a/ok/a “Aleksandr Ntifo-Siaw,” and as much as $1 million for different key leaders of Garantex.
