New PS Plus ‘Badges’ Awarded to Members… With Mistaken Data

Sony is displaying new customized PS Plus “badges” for every subscriber, which carry the variety of years one has been a member. The initiative is part of the service’s fifteenth anniversary, and retaining issues on model for PlayStation, the badges appear to be displaying incorrect info.

As far as I’m conscious, the badge is just viewable through the PS Plus part in your console. When you navigate to the fifteenth anniversary tab, you need to see one thing like this:

The picture above is a screenshot from my PS5, and in response to Sony, I’ve solely been a member for a yr. One drawback: I’ve been a PS Plus member for properly over a decade at this level, and I don’t recall my membership expiring over the previous few years at the least.

Out of curiosity, I wandered into Reddit to see if anybody else’s “badge” is displaying incorrect variety of years, and unsurprisingly, this appears to be the case for just about everybody.

“Mine says 15 years. I didn’t even have a PS3,” wrote one member. “Mine says 1 year even though I have been a subscriber since Day 1 and have also paid for the highest tiers when they were made available,” wrote one other. Some gamers say they will’t see the badges in any respect.

To be clear, I’ve by no means upgraded or downgraded my PS Plus membership. Following the revamp, I caught to the Essential tier, so if we think about {that a} “break” in service, the badge continues to be incorrect.

Happy fifteenth, PS Plus! These badges completely encapsulate PSN for me. My end-of-year stats and console playtime hours have at all times been wildly inaccurate, too. Oh properly!
