As a photographer and the proprietor of DeVine Portraits, a photograph studio in Palm City, Florida, Suzanne Cosme has an eye fixed for particulars. Recently, whereas on a solo dawn picture shoot at House of Refuge seashore, Cosme stopped brief when she observed a wierd brown object wedged between the rocks.

“At first, I thought it was driftwood,” Cosme informed The Dodo. “But as I got closer, I realized it was a sea turtle.”

“My heart dropped,” Cosme stated. “It was such a surreal and emotional moment.”

Cosme instantly referred to as the FWC Fish and Wildlife Research Institute and informed them in regards to the turtle. She saved a protected distance from the animal as she waited for assist.

About 40 minutes later, an institute officer and firefighters from Martin County Fire Rescue arrived. They slowly approached the 300-pound animal and assessed her situation.
