Summer isn’t over but. 

Before college begins and the leaves start to fall, Wilsonville Parks and Recreation has one final summer season celebration in retailer. 

Wilsonville’s Party within the Park can be from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 21 in Town Center Park. The group “block party” brings collectively music, meals, native distributors, actions for teenagers and extra. 

South Metro Area Regional Transit will deliver their beloved SMART prepare again for extra rides across the park and host free bike repairs throughout the occasion. 

“The community of Wilsonville enjoys coming together to connect with friends, family and neighbors,” stated Parks and Recreation recreation coordinator Emma Taylor. “We can see this in the success of the Rotary Wilsonville concert series that happened earlier this summer. Party in the Park is another such event where we hope to provide an opportunity to bring the Wilsonville community together and connect with city staff.”

This yr’s occasion will characteristic music from Fox and Bones, a folk-rock duo from Portland that earned Best Folk/Americana Album on the 2024 PNW Music Awards.

Besides the SMART prepare, rubber duck races are again on the Town Center Park water characteristic, with youngsters of all ages cheering for his or her geese as they coast downstream by means of the fountain. 

“Kids and families can get excited for the returning Party in the Park favorites, SMART will be bringing their train, we will have yard games, inflatable sports games, face painting, balloon artists and duck races in the Town Center Park water feature,” stated Taylor. “I am most excited to help kids pick out their ducks and watch children participate in the duck races.”
