New Age | Nasir Ali Mamun’s images present ‘Shatabarshe Sultan’ begins

Renowned photographer Nasir Ali Mamun’s month-long images exhibition ‘Shatabarshe Sultan’ started on Friday at Bengal Shilpalay at Dhanmondi within the capital Dhaka to have fun legendary artist SM Sultan’s start centenary.

Bengal Foundation in affiliation with HSBC is organising the present.

The exhibition consists of 108 images, supplies utilized by SM Sultan and a documentary movie by Nasir Ali Mamun, which

provides a glimpse of SM Sultan’s life, works and philosophy.

The exhibition was inaugurated by Bangladesh Bank governor Ahsan H Mansur whereas convener of the nationwide and worldwide start centenary celebration committee of SM Sultan artist Monirul Islam, Prothom Alo editor Matiur Rahman, Bengal Group chairman Abul Khair Litu, HSBC chief govt officer Mahbub Ur Rahman and Nasir Ali Mamun spoke on the occasion moderated by Bengal Foundation director common Luva Nahid Chowdhury. 

Nasir Ali Mamun mentioned that with out the assistance of HSBC and Bengal Foundation he couldn’t afford this exhibition.

He mentioned, ‘I dream of a museum where all of my photographs will be preserved. In Bangladesh, no one collects artworks, and the government does not know how photographers and artists survive.’

Matiur Rahman mentioned that Nasir Ali Mamun was famend for his portrait images and he captured greater than 8,000 individuals largely well-known in artwork, tradition and politics.
