The Honourable John Hogan, KC, Premier of Newfoundland and Labrador, as we speak introduced  the Provincial Government’s participation within the Canadian Red Cross 2025 Newfoundland and Labrador Wildfires Appeal.

For each $1 contributed by people or companies, the Provincial Government will match it – doubling the influence of donor generosity. With the Federal Government additionally matching donations, each greenback donated will now change into three {dollars} to assist households, communities, and frontline responders affected by these devastating wildfires.

This matching program applies to all eligible donations made between August 14 and September 13, 2025. All funds raised will assist residents which have been pressured to evacuate their communities in Newfoundland and Labrador because of the ongoing wildfires.
