Safe your units and information whereas touring

When touring, there are lots of methods information and units could be compromised. Devices could be misplaced, stolen, or confiscated at customs. Lost or stolen gadget?

If a UCSF or private machine with UCSF information on it’s misplaced or stolen, observe these steps:

1. Call UCSF Police Department at 415-476-1414 and report that the gadget(s) had been misplaced or stolen and request to open a case. A case quantity shall be given.

2. Contact the IT Service Desk at 415-514-4100 and to open a Security Incident ticket. 

3. Report the pc hostname and/or serial numbers of the units in addition to the UCSF PD Case Number.
