China journey danger for American residents ‘unchanged’ regardless of exit bans: US commerce group

China’s latest exit bans on two American businesspeople don’t increase the journey danger for US-based executives, as neither case seems “geopolitical or retaliatory”, an American commerce advocacy group has stated.

“The risk of exit bans, detentions, or other complications has not changed for most travellers,” in line with the US-China Business Council, although it acknowledged that the high-profile instances had led corporations to reassess their journey procedures to restrict dangers.

“Both situations appear to follow existing enforcement patterns and do not portend higher than usual travel risk for American executives,” the report’s authors stated.
