ACC Publicizes Volleyball Players of the Week

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (theACC.com) – Pitt junior proper facet hitter Olivia Babcock has been named the Atlantic Coast Conference Offensive Player of the Week, whereas Pitt redshirt senior Brooke Mosher is the ACC Setter of the Week for matches performed in the course of the opening weekend of the 2025 season. Additionally, Stanford’s Spencer Etzler was named each the ACC Defensive Player of the Week and the ACC Freshman of the Week.

ACC OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Olivia Babcock, Jr., RS, Pitt (Los Angeles, California)

• Averaged 5.11 kills per set and 6.11 factors per set within the Panther’s opening weekend.
• Recorded 21 kills, 5 digs, three blocks and three service aces in opposition to No. 1 Nebraska on Friday, August 22.
• Recorded her 1,000th profession kill on Sunday, August 24, in opposition to No. 16 Florida.
• Recorded her first double-double of the season in opposition to Florida, notching 25 kills, 13 digs, three blocks, three aces and two assists.

 
ACC DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK & ACC FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK

Spencer Etzler, Fr., Libero, Stanford (Coldwater, Ohio)

• Recorded 4.29 digs per set with 30 whole digs within the first two matches of her collegiate debut.
• Anchored the Cardinal protection to assist the staff earn their first win of the season and defeat No. 16 Florida.
  
  

ACC SETTER OF THE WEEK

Brooke Mosher, R-Sr., S, Pitt (Waterloo, Wisconsin)

• Recorded 80 assists, 16 digs, three blocks and two aces within the Panthers’ opening weekend.
• Averaged 8.89 assists per set and 1.78 digs per set.
• Recorded her first double-double of the season in opposition to No. 16 Florida with 44 assists, 12 digs, a block, an ace and a kill.
