Monday was a busy day in Trenton because the one hundred and seventieth Gibson County Fair kicks off this week, working August 25-30.
The junior livestock reveals began early Monday morning.
“Gibson County kids who have fed and cared for a livestock project will show those animals today, and then there will be a sponsor sale tonight where those kids will sell those animals,” mentioned Andy Zarecor, member of the Gibson County Fair Board of Directors. “Local business will bid and support the kids and reward them for a summer full of hard work.”
Photography, canning, quilting and horticulture displays have been entered in over the weekend, with judging set to happen Monday morning.
“We usually have 50-60 entries or better,” Zarecor mentioned. “It’s always great when everybody comes out and shares their garden creation with us for the fair.”
