The southwest Regina neighborhood has struggled with overcrowding since its first elementary faculty opened in 2017. High enrolment shortly pressured the varsity to transform shared areas, similar to libraries and science labs, into lecture rooms.

The new joint-use facility, a partnership between Regina Public Schools and Regina Catholic Schools, is scheduled to open in fall 2027. It will serve as much as 500 public faculty college students and 350 Catholic faculty college students, and also will embrace 90 new child-care areas.

At a Tuesday media occasion to mark the beginning of building, Premier Scott Moe mentioned the challenge displays each capital and classroom investments by his Saskatchewan Party authorities.
