Ladies’s Golf Opens Season With Historic Journey To Japan

MISHIMA CITY, Japan – The University of Hawai’i ladies’s golf group opens the 2025-26 season in Japan with the Pan Pacific University Super League, Wednesday, Sept. 3 by Friday, Sept. 5 on the Grand Fields Country Club.
 
In addition to UH, the match options U.S. groups UCLA and SMU. A complete of 12 ladies’s groups make up the sphere, together with six Japanese universities and groups from Europe, South Korea, and Chinese Taipei.
 
It marks the primary worldwide journey for the Rainbow Wahine in program historical past.
 
UH will ship a five-member contingent together with Sofina Firouzi, Varnika S. Achanta, Maline Kraus, Emiko Sverduk, and Wendy Song. Kraus was UH’s scorer final season with a 74.54 common and a team-best eight rounds of par or higher.
 
Participants will play 54 holes over three days on the par-71, 6,164-yard course.
