New Jersey man, 30, drowns whereas swimming in Delaware River

A New Jersey man drowned Tuesday whereas swimming within the Delaware River, in accordance with National Park Service officers.

The drowning was reported about 4:10 p.m. to the emergency communications middle at Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area.

The National Park Service says rangers and dive staff members together with New Jersey State Police and water rescue groups from the Portland Hook & Ladder Co. No. 1 responded to the decision within the space of the Kittatinny Point picnic space.
