Visas canceled for BE:MAX, Ok-Pop group performing in Minnesota and U.S.

Organizers spent a year and a half planning the convention, but say they learned of BE:MAX’s journey points because the group tried to board a flight for Minnesota Friday. The group’s visas have been beforehand authorised.

“This also affects all of BeMax’s U.S. tour dates and stops, not just KPOP MINNECON,” The conference organizers’ post read. “We exhausted each possibility—escalations, appeals, and different routings—to deliver BeMax right here. Unfortunately, the visa resolution couldn’t be reversed in time.”

The U.S. Department of State did return requests for information about why the visas were canceled.
