The Boone ladies’ swimming and diving staff delivered a robust efficiency Saturday on the Mason City Invitational, inserting third general in a discipline of seven groups.
Boone scored 330.5 factors, ending behind Waukee (632) and Decorah (342.5), and forward of Spencer, Mason City, Algona, and Fort Dodge.
The Toreadors improved their general file to 7-2.
Avery Howie positioned 2nd within the 50 Free (26.08) and 2nd within the 100 Back (1:05.00).
Mackenzie Klatt took 4th within the 200 IM (2:32.45) and sixth within the 100 Back (1:08.41).
Claire Enabnit positioned seventh within the 200 Free and sixth within the 100 Fly.
Lucy Enabnit and Morgan Cox had been neck-and-neck within the 500 Free, ending sixth and seventh respectively.
Quinn Houston positioned eighth within the 100 Free and 14th within the 50 Free.
Harper Houston added factors in each the 50 Free and 100 Breast.
The 200 Medley Relay staff of Howie, Klatt, Claire Enabnit, and Quinn Houston positioned 4th with a time of two:03.67.
The 400 Free Relay staff of Quinn Houston, Finley Houser, Howie and Klatt earned 4th place (4:10.01).
Boone’s divers set the tone early, with Amaya Filipiak inserting fifth (284.95) and Hailey Olson seventh (254.95) within the 11-dive competitors.
Boone will maintain a house meet in opposition to Perry and Algona on Tuesday, September 9, at 5:30 p.m.
