Georgetown Girls’s Golf Finishes 18th at Cougar Classic

WASHINGTON – Carding a 48-over 900 (293-303-304), the Georgetown University girls’s golf group completed 18th on the Cougar Classic, hosted by the College of Charleston over two days. The 18-team subject performed the par-71, 6,269-yard course at Yeamans Hall Club in Charleston. The journey to the Lowcountry marked the primary of a four-tournament fall schedule for the Blue & Gray.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED

• Georgia Ruffolo carded an 8-over 221 (73-73-75) over the three-round event as the highest Hoya on the leaderboard as she tied for sixty fifth. For the event, she managed 4 birdies (2/1/1) and 38 pars (12/14/12).
• At 11-over 224 (70-76-78), Gabriella Eifrig tied for seventy fifth following 54 holes. The sophomore managed a squad-best six birdies (2/2/2) over 54 holes to go together with 33 pars (15/10/8).
• Milla Sagel shot up seven spots within the third spherical as she carded the very best spherical of the day for the Blue & Gray at 1-over 72. For the event, she completed 88th at 18-over 231 (79-80-72). Her third spherical was fueled by a trio of birdies and 11 pars. She totaled a squad-best six birdies (1/2/3) and 29 pars (9/9/11).
• Freshman Sunny Wang closed the three-round event at 20-over 233 (77-74-82) to complete ninetieth. Over two days, she managed a trio of birdies (1/1/1) and 29 pars (10/13/6).
• One stroke behind was Tina Tang, who completed 91st at 21-over 234 (73-82-79). She matched a squad-best six birdies (3/1/2) for the event to go together with 26 pars (10/8/8).
