Welcome to FLORIDA TODAY Space Team stay protection of tonight’s SpaceX Nusantara Lima mission — which has been postponed for the third evening in a row from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station.

First, persistent rainfall and towering clouds sweeping throughout Florida pressured back-to-back scrubs Monday and Tuesday as SpaceX crews unsuccessfully tried to launch the Falcon 9 rocket.

Then, SpaceX had focused 8 p.m. to make a 3rd bid at launching the Indonesian communications satellite tv for pc into geosynchronous switch orbit.

But as an alternative, tonight’s launch was scrubbed. The Space Force’s forty fifth Weather Squadron solely predicted 30% odds of favorable situations early through the launch window, rising barely to 45% by the tip. Cumulus clouds, anvil clouds and floor electrical fields loomed as meteorological threats.

Per SpaceX’s web site, the Nusantara Lima mission’s new launch window extends from 7:49 p.m. to 10:10 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 11.
