Saint Francis Cruises Previous Rider with 3-0 Sweep

TURNING POINT OF THE GAME

Saint Francis’ late surge within the second set marked the mindset of the sport, as they scored six of the ultimate eight factors to grab management. The momentum ignited with a robust kill from Paloma Gonzalez Jaramillo, adopted by essential kills from Korrin Burns and Alyssa Irwin that put strain on Rider. Hailey Atkins then delivered a service ace and a key kill, pushing the Red Flash to recreation level. Capitalizing on Rider’s errors, Saint Francis closed out the set and shifted the match firmly of their favor. 

FLASH MOMENTS 

In the primary set in opposition to Rider, Saint Francis went on a decisive 10-4 run to shut out the set. The Red Flash turned a 15-15 tie right into a 25-19 victory. This surge was fueled by a number of sturdy performs from Alexandra Sappia together with a number of assists, a kill, and a key block. Chandler Alter collected seven digs for the Red Flash.  

Sappia completed the match with 31 assists, three aces, three assisted blocks, and 4 digs. Sappia has earned NEC Prime Performer distinction within the first two weeks of the season. 

 

Irwin tallied seven kills, a solo block, and two assisted blocks.

As Saint Francis wrapped up its three video games stretch in New Jersey, they put together to be again on the highway Friday to play within the Four Twelve Project Volleyball Invitational. Saint Francis kicks off the event in opposition to Robert Morris on Friday at 6 p.m. and Duquesne on Saturday at 2 p.m.
