NDSU Males’s Golf Wins Bluejay Invitational

OMAHA, Neb. – North Dakota State males’s golf picked up its second-straight win to start the season on Tuesday, because the Bison claimed the Bluejay Invitational hosted by Creighton at Shadow Ridge Country Club.
 
The Bison shot a last spherical of 286 (-4) to complete the 54-hole match at -17 and declare a six-shot victory over host Creighton and St. Thomas (-11). It is the primary time since February/March of 2024 that the Bison have gained back-to-back tournaments and it’s the first time since 2017-18 that NDSU opened the season with consecutive match victories.
 
With the win, Dr. Ekren Miller turns into the primary Bison head coach to steer NDSU males’s golf to match victories in his first two occasions as the top coach of this system.
 
Jake Skarperud (69-71-70 – 210) and Rylin Petry (69-74-70 – 213) led the Bison within the last spherical, as each golfers posted -2 scored of 70. Skarperud had a team-high 5 birdies on the day and Petry completed with 4, as each moved up the leaderboard.
