In Northampton County, a farm is getting ready to welcome guests to its pumpkin patch and corn maze this weekend.
“It’s fall season,” mentioned Andrea Delong, General Manager of Seiple Farms.
Seiple Farms in East Allen Township is nearly able to commerce the sunflowers for pumpkins.
“It’s our forty third annual pumpkin season and corn maze,” mentioned Delong.
Delong mentioned the crew has spent lengthy hours and several other weeks prepping the 40-acre patch.
“It actually starts in our winter season. What kind of pumpkins we want to grow, we have to order the seed. Then come, like, late May, early June, we start planting the pumpkins. There’s 35 different varieties.”
Not to mention, the crew also has to create the farm’s 20-acre corn maze.
“There are 16 checkpoints, so it’s a little scavenger hunt,” mentioned Delong.

The farm can be open Saturdays and Sundays at 10 a.m after which Fridays at midday beginning Sept. 26.
