Three within the High-20 as Males’s Golf Staff in Fifth Place at Canadian Collegiate Invitational

East Lansing, Mich. – Michigan State’s males’s golf crew shot a 1-under par 287 within the first spherical and is in fifth place amongst 11 groups on the Canadian Collegiate Invitational, being performed at Öviinbyrd Golf Club in Muskoka, Ontario, Canada.

The three-day, 54-hole match continues on Monday, Sept. 15 with 18 holes and the ultimate spherical on Tuesday, Sept. 16.

Notre Dame leads the sector at 12-under par 276, with Michigan in second, Missouri in third place at 7-under par 281, UNCW fourth at 6-under par 282 and the Spartans are 5 pictures again at 1-under par 287.

Senior Caleb Bond leads the Spartans, firing a 4-under par 68 to face in a tie for fifth place. Bond completed his spherical with 5 birdies and 12 pars.

Juniors McCoy Biagioli and Lorenzo Pinili are tied for sixteenth place after each posted rounds of 1-under par 71. Biagioli had three birdies and 13 pars with a pair of bogies coming in two of the final three holes. It was an up-and-down spherical for Pinili with 5 birdies and 4 bogies to go along with 9 pars.

Graduate Ashton McCulloch is tied for forty third place at 5-over par 77 and freshman Connor Fox is tied for forty ninth place at 6-over par 78.

Sophomore Juan Velasquez, enjoying as a person, shot a 1-over par 73, together with an eagle on the par-4, 327-yard tenth gap, and is tied for twenty seventh place. After enjoying the entrance 9 in five-over par, Velasquez performed the again in four-under par, along with his eagle and three birdies.

The Spartans will tee off on Monday, Sept. 15 at 9 a.m., enjoying alongside Missouri and Miami (Ohio).
