LAKEWOOD, Ohio — Featuring photographs of landscapes, nature and wildlife, the Beck Center for the Arts presents a new photo exhibit by Lakewood resident Rita Elswick.

“It’s pretty exciting,” stated Cleveland native Elswick. “While I have other works at the Beck Center, this is my first solo show there.”

The exhibit options roughly 20 of the artist’s framed pictures, prints and playing cards, which will be considered Sept. 20 by means of Jan. 15 alongside the partitions of the Music and Creative Arts Therapies Building.

“There are landscapes, from like Edgewater Park, and pictures of hawks, scenery and wildlife,” she stated.

A public artist reception celebrating the exhibit is scheduled for six p.m. Nov. 14 on the Beck Center.

“Rita is an actively exhibiting local photographer who has made photographs for over two decades,” Beck Center Associate Director of Visual Arts and exhibition curator Melinda Placko stated in a information launch.

“Beck Center is honored to celebrate her work with a solo exhibit.”
